Spray Towers
Spray Towers are often employed in applications where the exhaust to be scrubbed contains “sticky” substances and solids that tend to foul or plug-up packed bed scrubbers and Tray scrubbers. The design consists of an open spray chamber where the exhuast gas is sprayed with scrubbing solution. Spray towers are often used in applications such as hydrolyzers for the treatment of chlorinated silane exhausts where the hydrolysis forms sticky solids and gels and in scrubbing application where less soluble lime solutions are used.
